Việt Nam has consistently been one of Laos''s top three largest trading partners, with bilateral trade reaching US$928 million by the end of June, an annual increase of 11 per cent.
Viet Nam’s exports to Laos increased from $571.7 million in 2020 to $594.7 million in 2021. Its major export items included steel, means of transport and accessories, machine, plastic products and vegetables.
Viet Nam and Laos need to further enhance co-operation to capitalise on each other’s strengths and enable their investment and trade ties to be commensurate with their relations, a bilateral trade forum heard in HCM City on December 13.

capital city of Vientiane yesterday in a bid to realise the National
Trade Promotion Programme 2013 and the cooperation agreement between the
